My first camera, and i have not many complaints. 14 megapixels really gives the pictures quality, however you have to wait until you have put the pictures on a computer because the screen on the camera doesn't show the pictures as good as they actually are. There are lots of different modes and features to play with, and if you find that a picture you take isn't quite right, there's most probably another mode that will make it perfect. the 5x optical zoom i have found good for close-ups, but have never really tried the camera out yet at wide, scenic shots. The video is high quality also, except it has more problems than taking still pictures. the main problems are to do with the video zoom. when you are capturing a video, if you zoom in or out the image blurs whilst you do so, and also you can hear the camera zooming when you watch the video. it is a very quiet "bbbzzzzz" in the background, but if you zoom a lot it can become irritating. the final problem with the video is that when i have tried to put them on the computer they are not in a good file format. now i'm not excellent on computers, but i would expect the video to be in a format such as AVI, but it's in a different one that i have never heard of, and that wont import into windows movie maker. this probably isn't a problem if you know what you're doing on a PC, but i personally found it quite awkward. despite all of this, however, i will still give this outstanding camera 5 stars because it shoots great quality pictures and videos, has good zoom, is light and compact, and also quite stylish.
Problems: + when the video zooms it blurs. + you can hear the camera buzzing in the background of videos. + the videos, when uploaded onto a computer, are not in a typical AVI format. + i ran my battery out within 4 days of using it, so you could say it has low battery life, however i did use it for about an hour each day. + it only runs on li-ion batteries, and to buy a rechargable one with a charger costs around £50.
