| This is a good camera for what it is intended to do...WHEN IT WORKS! I have this model, and my wife has the next model up, the 8M model. Our cameras worked very well as far as ease of use, picture sharpness, and color quality on a trip to Hawaii. |
| Problems: I had a few problems with this camera:
These things are massive battery hogs! We would get only a few shots taken, with or without flash, and find the battery was sucked dry. This was with alkaline, Nimh, and Lithium, it didn't matter which battery type!
The other problem is this thing DIED!!!! I had taken a few pictures, put it in my bag, then took it out a few hours later to find out it no longer worked. I replaced the batteries several times over, replaced the memory card, but it would no longer turn on. I sent a request for an RMA to the crappy Polaroid website but NEVER EVER received a response. Supposedly the warranty is one year, so I have a little while to find my receipt so I can send this crap in for replacement. I wont accept a repair. My wife's camera started to turn on every fifth to eighth press of the power button, so I will probably send hers in as well.
Bottom line it, no matter how much one pays for these things you should not have the thing die within three months! POLAROID YOU SUCK! |
